A note from the author:

I’m an acupuncturist with over 20 years experience. This book started life when I graduated in 1992 and found there was no definitive guide to the spirits of acupuncture points.

I researched and wrote the original Spirits and Functions book, first published in 1994. I have really enjoyed updating the book and including things such as the location of each point, which make this volume so useful in the clinic.

I know that my knowledge about acupuncture has increased significantly through my further research and editing of the book. I’m reminded of points I’d “forgotten” and have been inspired to use points I’d not needled before.

I hope that you too will find this book informative and inspirational
