About us

Tim and Lois atop the Parthenon in Athens

We are quite an adventurous pair and we love to travel and explore new places. In May 2022 we went to Athens, despairing of ever getting our motorhome. Within 2 days of our return we’d bought a second hand one and so our travels in the UK were able to begin at last! Here’s a bit more quite useless information about us both:-

Tim

A self-confessed diy nerd he loves getting his hands dirty and playing with his tools. I have threatened to put a sign on the man-cave door “if Tim hasn’t got it, you don’t need it!” He relishes a challenge, the more complex a job is, the better. He can always be found in his man-cave except when it’s dinner time. He’s looking forward to customising the new motorhome when it finally arrives and can be relied on to produce outstanding diy projects.

Tim is enjoying learning about electronics and is currently working on a device which will tell him if he has left the man-cave door open, which has happened once or twice!

He’s very kind and generous with his skills and knowledge, it’s not unknown for neighbours to pop round when they need something fixing, sure that he’ll be able to help.

I’m looking forward to seeing how he puts all his skills to use pimping the new motorhome!

Lois –

I enjoy writing and being creative.  I’ve written non-fiction books relating to my previous career as an acupuncturist.  When I retired I started to indulge my desire to write non-fiction and started to write short stories.  I thought it would be fun to put a few on this site and to add to them over the coming months.

One of our friends suggested I write about “Motorhome Murders” or “Motorhome Mysteries”.  I had wild imaginings of writing about people being murdered by a motorhome, or perhaps the mystery might relate to “where the heck am I going to put all my stuff?”

Perhaps some stories about life pre-motor home?  You know, “today I stayed in and browsed camp sites”, or “I joined CCC or CAMC”.  Doesn’t really work does it?  Ah well, I shall have to try something else to get the creative juices flowing.   Watch this space.

Oh, and if you want to read some of my past literary efforts, pop over to the Coffee Break Reads page!
